Horse Riding With Natasha
Service user Natasha learns to ride and starts a placement at a vet’s practice
Before joining Transition Care, Service Manager Tony used to ride horses and successfully compete in local shows and competitions.
Hearing this, service user Natasha, who has a love of animals, quite fancied having a go herself.
So, with the help of Tony, Natasha has embarked on a series of horse riding lessons.
Starting out riding a grey horse called Colin, Natasha gained confidence and moved on to Darcey, a much bigger brown and white horse. Natasha is now able to walk, trot and canter on without being lead by anyone.
Natasha is happiest when she is at the farm, so much so she has now started an ‘Animal Care Level 2’ college course. As part of the course Natasha will be observing at a vet’s practice as a Veterinary Nurse Assistant and at the end of the placement will gain a qualification.
We wish Natasha all the best on her new college course and will be sure to give you updated on her progress.
